These terms govern your use of the Bump platform, operated by Kern Platforms Private Limited ("Kern Platforms", "Bump", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Bump you agree to them. If you use Bump on behalf of a venue or as staff, you also agree on that business's behalf.
1. What Bump is
Bump connects guests ("patrons") with partner venues: requesting music, ordering food and drinks, splitting bills, playing games, booking tables and events, ordering pickup or delivery, sending gifts to friends, and related features. For venues, artists and their teams, Bump provides operational tools. Bump is a technology platform — the venue prepares your food, pours your drinks, hosts the occasion, and is responsible for the products and services it sells.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information. One account per person; keep access to your sign-in method secure.
- Your phone number links your credits and history to you. Using another person's identity or phone number is prohibited.
- We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms.
3. Payments, wallet, and credits
- Prices for everything on Bump — song requests, ordering, packs, tickets, delivery fees — are set by the venue (or event organiser) and shown before you pay. Applicable taxes are included or itemised on your bill.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner. We never store your card or UPI credentials.
- Wallet balances, credits, packs and promotional credits are prepaid value usable within Bump. They are not bank deposits, earn no interest, and cannot be withdrawn as cash. Promotional or gifted credits may carry conditions stated when granted.
- Gifts (songs, plays, credits sent to friends) are voluntary and non-reversible once redeemed by the recipient.
- Refunds: if something you paid for wasn't delivered — a paid song that never played, an order that was never fulfilled — contact the venue or support@bump.rocks and we will make it right, by re-delivery, credit, or refund to your payment method. Completed services (a song that played, food that was served) are not refundable. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
4. Music, requests and content
- A paid request queues your song; exact play time depends on the live queue, and the venue's staff may skip or moderate content that is inappropriate for the room. If a paid request is skipped by the venue, you are entitled to a replay or credit.
- Anything you post — dedications, shoutouts, reactions, posts, profile content — must be lawful and respectful. We filter and moderate; repeated abuse ends accounts. You keep ownership of your content and grant us the licence needed to display it within the service (e.g., on the venue screen you sent it to).
5. Ordering, pickup and delivery
- Food and beverage orders are contracts between you and the venue. The venue is responsible for preparation, quality, food safety, and fulfilment.
- Delivery may be fulfilled by the venue's own staff or a logistics partner. Fees are shown before you order — the food price, the actual delivery fee, and Bump's flat platform fee, each itemised. Menu prices for delivery are the same as at the venue.
- Provide an accurate address and be reachable; undeliverable orders due to wrong details are charged.
6. Friends and social features
Friend suggestions come only from occasions you genuinely shared. Accepting is mutual and always optional; declining is permanent; removing a friend removes the connection for both of you. Use social features respectfully — harassment through gifts, dedications, or any other feature is a breach of these terms.
7. Venues, artists and business users
- Business accounts are bound by their agreement with Kern Platforms in addition to these terms.
- Venues control their own pricing, menus, and feature settings, and are responsible for the legality of what they sell (including licensing for alcohol and music performance in their premises).
- Settlement of amounts collected through Bump is itemised transparently; the applicable platform shares are shown in the venue dashboard.
8. What we don't promise
We work to keep Bump available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" — we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, that a particular song is available to play, or the conduct of other users. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through Bump in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, or your statutory consumer rights.
9. Ending things
You can stop using Bump any time and delete your account from your Profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with unspent genuine wallet balance refunded except where it was obtained fraudulently.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-forum rights you hold. Grievances: support@bump.rocks (service issues) or privacy@bump.rocks (data matters) — we respond within 7 days.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app with the date above updated. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.
